McDonald’s Morocco Faces Protest as Delivery Drivers Suspended

A union plans to demonstrate in front of all Moroccan McDonald’s. This decision follows the suspension of about twenty employees of a transport company under contract with the fast food chain.
According to the union, at least 20 employees of the company "Maro Trans" have been suspended by this company responsible for transporting the meat consumed in Moroccan McDonald’s.
The company, which works with McDonald’s, imports this meat from Brazil. The president of the union criticized the non-respect of trade union rights by the management of "Maro Trans" in an interview with Alyaoum24.
To defend the interests of the suspended drivers, the union says it has contacted the Minister of Labor, the regional director of Nouaceur, and the governor of the province of Nouaceur. The union is awaiting a response from them to decide on the next steps of their protest, including the possibility of demonstrating in front of the fast food chain’s restaurants.
