Mazraoui’s Absence Sparks Youth Sensation at Manchester United

Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui is at risk of starting the match against Brentford scheduled for Saturday on the bench. He was absent from Manchester United’s training and it was the young Sam Mather who took his place.
Uncertainty weighs on Noussair Mazraoui. He was absent from Manchester United’s training due to an apparent physical fitness problem. Images show Sam Mather, winner of the FA Youth Cup, taking his place. This young player, who is mainly a winger, participated in the 3-4-2-1 exercises in place of the Moroccan international, THE SUN reports. The absence of the Moroccan has thus led to the call-up of Sam Mather to the first team.
Mazraoui has returned from injury - after an injury sustained at the end of last season - against Burnley last month. Since then, he has been a starter in United’s two Premier League matches against Manchester City and Chelsea. However, his condition is still a concern. Will he be available for the match against Brentford on Saturday, September 27? The Red Devils’ coach, Ruben Amorim, should provide an update on the defender’s fitness this Friday.
