New club for Noussair Mazraoui?
The future of Noussair Mazraoui at Manchester United is dotted as the Moroccan defender is currently playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.
According to information from Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus has revived its interest in the 28-year-old full-back, just six months after a first recruitment attempt. The Serie A club sees the former Ajax player as a priority option to strengthen its flanks, although other tracks such as Sacha Boey or Brooke Norton-Cuffy are also being studied.
Recruited for nearly £13 million in 2024 under the Erik ten Hag era, Mazraoui is under contract with the Red Devils until 2028. Despite more limited playing time this season with only nine appearances in all competitions, the player remains highly rated on the European market. The management of Manchester United must now decide on the opportunity of a sale during this winter transfer window, as the club enters a new phase of technical transition.
Pending a decision on his future at the club, the defender remains unavailable for Manchester United. Darren Fletcher, the interim coach, confirmed that Mazraoui would not be able to participate in the FA Cup match against Brighton this Sunday due to the too short delay after Morocco’s qualification for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. Unlike the case of Joshua Zirkzee, for whom Manchester United has closed the door to any departure to Roma, discussions regarding a possible transfer of Mazraoui to Turin remain open.
