Massive Sandstorm Engulfs Marrakech, Leaving One Dead and Widespread Damage

The spectacular event, immortalized by tourists, has left the local population and visitors with almost no visibility. The atmosphere was such that some compare it to apocalyptic scenes.

This exceptional meteorological phenomenon was not without consequences. A young boy was killed, crushed by a tree near Jemaa el-Fna square, victim of the violent winds. In addition, many merchants and restaurateurs have seen their stalls completely destroyed by the gusts.
