Marseille Star Guendouzi Eyed by Top European Clubs in Winter Transfer Window
The French international of Moroccan origin, Matteo Guendouzi, a key player for Olympique de Marseille, could change clubs this winter. The defensive midfielder would be on the radar of several major European clubs and his departure is not excluded during this transfer window.
Finalist of the 2022 World Cup, the 23-year-old player has acquired another status since his arrival at OM. A key piece in Igor Tudor’s system, Guendouzi is one of the leaders of the Marseille locker room. However, the French international was planning to leave the club this summer.
According to l’Équipe, the player would be the target of several major European clubs, which would not leave him indifferent. A good offer would precipitate a transfer of the player, under contract until 2025, we are told.
Guendouzi should meet with his managers in the coming days, in order to decide on his situation as soon as possible, adds the same source, specifying that a departure as early as this winter is not to be excluded.
