Marrakech Ranks in Top 10 Most Desirable Cities Worldwide, Travel Magazine Survey Finds

Based on the opinions of its readers, the famous British travel magazine Wanderlust has established its top 10 of the most desirable cities in the world. New Orleans (Louisiana) tops this ranking. It is followed by Tokyo (Japan) and Cartagena (Colombia). Then come Singapore (Singapore), Quito (Ecuador), Melbourne (Australia) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Cape Town (South Africa) is in 9th position. Marrakech (Morocco) closes the podium. The ochre city owes this position to its attractiveness.

On Tuesday, Wanderlust held the 21st edition of the UK tourism awards ceremony in London (Wanderlust Travel Awards 2022). Normandy was named "Most Desirable European Region" while Costa Rica and Greece won the award for the most desirable countries.
