Marrakech Ranks Second in Top Summer Destinations for French Travelers, Booking Data Shows

A Moroccan city is one of the ten most sought-after destinations by the French at the end of the summer season, according to a ranking by Booking.
For their late summer stays, the French prefer to go to Marrakech, the second most sought-after destination in this Top 10. While Paris occupies the first place on the podium, two other French cities, namely Marseille and Porto Vecchio, are positioned respectively in 7th and 8th place, reports L’Écho touristique.
Behind Marrakech, second, we find Barcelona (Spain), Rome (Italy) and Lisbon (Portugal) in the top five. Then come the cities of London (England) in sixth place, Istanbul (Turkey) in ninth place after Marseille and Porto Vecchio, and Porto (Portugal) which closes this ranking.
In France, apart from Paris, Marseille and Porto Vecchio, the trendy destinations for the French are limited to the following cities: Nice, Cap d’Agde, Le Grau du Roi, Annecy, Saint Malo, La Rochelle and Cannes. This ranking is the result of a survey conducted from April 3 to 16, 2023 with booking dates scheduled between August 28 and September 10, 2023.
