Marrakech Ranks 6th in Google’s Top Summer Destinations for French Travelers

Marrakech is among the top 10 destinations most sought after by the French who want to travel this summer. This is revealed by a survey conducted by the search engine Google.
Lisbon tops the top 10 list of destinations most searched for by the French this summer, conducted by the Google Flights search engine, reports Air Journal. Next come New York, Montreal, Barcelona, Porto, Marrakech, Athens. Palma de Mallorca, Bali and Rome complete the podium.
The French travel agency Bourse-des-vols.com confirms these trends. France ranks first in its top 10 country searches published on its website in April. It is followed by Spain, Portugal, Morocco, the United States and Italy. Algeria, Greece, the Balearic Islands (Spain) and Turkey complete the ranking.
The travel agency reports that these 10 destinations alone account for 53% of the search volume. "The French are opting more for international destinations to the west and south that turn their backs on China and Ukraine" due to Covid-19 and the war, it summarizes.
