Marrakech Tops French Travel Destinations for Second Year, Survey Finds

Marrakech retains, for the second consecutive year, the top spot in the ranking of the destinations most popular with the French in 2022.
A survey conducted by the travel comparator Liligo shows that Marrakech tops the ranking of the 10 destinations most popular with the French in 2022, thus maintaining its first place for the second consecutive year. In addition to its attractiveness, it owes this position in particular to the drop in the price of the round-trip ticket set at an average of 207 €, i.e. still -35% in 2022 compared to 2019 and an increase of 9% compared to last year.
The ochre city is followed by the Portuguese cities of Lisbon and Porto. Barcelona climbs to 5th place in the ranking. Then come overseas destinations of France such as Saint-Denis de la Réunion (6th) and Pointe-à-Pitre (7th) and the French city of Nice (8th). Montréal (Canada) and Fort-de-France in Martinique complete the top 10.
In terms of ticket sales, the West Indies, the United States, the Maghreb and Mexico are the most sold destinations in 2022 from France.
