Marrakech Police Uncover Prostitution Ring Disguised as Massage Parlor
Six women and one man were arrested in Marrakech this week. Aged 22 to 39, they are suspected of being involved in a prostitution network operating under the cover of a massage parlor.
It was the suspicious transformation of a commercial premises that alerted the police elements from the Marrakech prefecture.
Caught in the act, the manager of the establishment was the first to be arrested. The investigation then made it possible to trace back to six other people, all suspected of being linked to this network. Assabah, which reports the facts, specifies that searches were carried out.
A recording device, surveillance cameras and cash were seized. Investigators believe these items could constitute evidence of the network’s illegal activity.
Placed in custody, the seven suspects are currently being heard by the judicial authorities. The investigation, conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, will have to shed light on the extent of this network and determine all the facts with which it is charged.
