Agadir Court Convicts 25 in Massage Parlor Prostitution Case

The court of first instance in Agadir has sentenced 25 of the 33 people arrested as part of the case of the massage parlor suspected of prostitution.
Suspected of prostitution, four employees of the center were sentenced to one and a half years in prison and a fine of 20,000 dirhams each, reports Al Akhbar. Twelve defendants were sentenced to six months in prison with probation and a fine of 2,000 dirhams, while nine others received two months in prison with probation and a fine of 1,000 dirhams each. The court also ordered the permanent closure of the salon and the withdrawal of its license.
To recall, the 33 accused, 22 young women and 11 men, including foreigners, had been arrested on February 4 after a raid by the judicial police in a massage parlor located in the center of Agadir. Among the many massage parlors and spas that have opened in the city in recent years, some engage in prostitution activities. On social networks, managers of these centers do not hesitate to offer sexual services to attract customers.
