Marrakech Police Raid Illicit Party During Ramadan Lockdown

Elements of the Marrakech police prefecture carried out a raid last weekend in an apartment in Gueliz, where 2 young people were organizing a boozy party with prostitutes.
According to the daily Assabah, neighbors, apparently disturbed by the noise, ended up alerting the police, who went to the premises armed with a search warrant on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office.
Defying the state of health emergency, the two young people had taken advantage of the lack of traffic at the time of the breaking of the fast to go to the residence located in the Badii district of Marrakech.
The four persons involved were taken into custody, at the disposal of the public prosecutor’s office, pending their appearance before the public prosecutor.
