Morocco Tourist Resort Manager Arrested for Running Alleged Brothel in Sefrou
The manager of a tourist complex in Sefrou was referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, to answer the charge of setting up a place of debauchery. 4 individuals were also arrested in flagrante delicto of drunkenness and prostitution.
The defendant, currently in pre-trial detention in the Sefrou prison, risks seeing his sentence aggravated for the offenses of public drunkenness, participation in adultery, and violation of the state of health emergency. The 4 other individuals are being prosecuted for incitement to debauchery and pimping.
According to the site Aljarida24, the first hearing was postponed by the investigating judge to June 22 next, in order to allow the defense to prepare the pleading.
Before the intervention of the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie, the tourist complex, which enjoyed a good reputation in the region, had been transformed into a brothel throughout the confinement period.
