Marrakech Massage Parlor Raided for Alleged Prostitution Ring

The police services carried out a raid in a massage parlor in the Gueliz district of Marrakech to arrest five people, including the owner of the premises. The massage was only a front for illegal activities such as prostitution, debauchery and the corruption of a minor.
Several cities in Morocco have been tainted in the past by this kind of scandal, where salon owners circumvent the law by engaging in illegal activities, allowing them to quickly replenish their coffers. This new scandal that broke out in Marrakech was revealed by numerous complaints filed by residents of the Gueliz district, denouncing the lightness with which the massage parlors located in the surrounding alleys engage in other activities contrary to those to which they are assigned. According to the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, several of these complaints accused the same establishment of promoting debauchery and prostitution.
The police therefore set up a system to monitor the activity of this salon, to ensure the veracity of the complaints and, above all, to try to catch the suspects in the act. After finding that the residents were right, the police chose the right moment to carry out their raid, which resulted in the arrest of four young women, including a minor, and a man, caught in the act. In addition, the police elements seized a large quantity of condoms made available to customers for sexual favors in the establishment.
The arrested owner is being prosecuted under arrest, while the five other defendants are on provisional release. One of the young women arrested revealed that all those who worked within the establishment had been hired to satisfy the sexual desires of customers for money. She confesses to having been recruited for years, while she was a minor. According to her, the owner took advantage of her financial situation to attract her into this harmful business, the same source specifies.
