Marrakech’s Jemaâ El Fna Souk Named Most Beautiful in Arab World

In the Arab world, souks, and beautiful souks, can be seen in all countries. But according to the specialized site Kawa News, the souk of the Jemaâ El Fna square, in Marrakech, would undoubtedly be the most beautiful.
The souk of the Jemaâ El Fna square, in the ochre city, tops this ranking established by Kawa News. We read the following description: "8 centuries ago, the souks of Marrakech were born. They were built by the Almoravids (Berber dynasty) and served as meeting points for caravans. Today, the city’s markets bring together more than 40,000 craftsmen with a varied merchandise: spices, baskets, jewelry, babouches... At nightfall, the souk of the Jemaâ El Fna square comes alive. Storytellers, musicians, dancers and animal trainers give open-air shows, contributing to the mythical energy of Marrakech".
The site also confirms the beauty of the other souks in the Arab world. The souk of Tripoli, in Lebanon, comes in second place. And the site does not skimp on praise for it: "As you wander through the different markets, you will also discover the old city and its riches: Ottoman-influenced houses, ancient caravanserais, countless palaces, but also medieval mosques. You will have understood, Tripoli and its souks are an open-air museum!"
The top 4 is completed by the souk of Nizwa in Oman and the gold souk in Dubai.
