The authorities of Marrakech have put an end to the activities of a group of individuals posing as car attendants around the famous Jamaa el-Fna square.
The latter, operating without official authorization, harassed motorists and forced them to pay for the "service" of monitoring their vehicles, reports the local site kech24.
The arrests were made following numerous complaints from vacationers and residents fed up with these illegal practices. The apprehended "attendants" were taken into custody and will have to answer for their actions before the justice system.
