Illegal Parking Fees Persist in Agadir Despite Free Parking Policy

Parking attendants continue to dictate their rules in Agadir, demanding vehicle owners pay sometimes exorbitant fees. The phenomenon is causing outrage among residents who recall that the local authorities have announced free parking for all, including tourists.
Motorists denounce the laxity of the local authorities and the administrative police services, who are taking no action to put an end to the phenomenon of illegal parking attendants. The latter continue to impose parking fees, even though the Agadir municipal council has announced free parking, for both residents and tourists, recalls Al Akhbar.
The local authorities made this decision, pending the renewal of the delegated parking management contract and a review of the management of these spaces. Meanwhile, the phenomenon of the yellow vests is growing in the city. These illegal parking attendants harass motorists and do not hesitate to use force to force them to pay exorbitant fees.
