Nador Eliminates Parking Fees Citywide, Crackdown on Illegal Attendants

All parking lots in Nador are now free for residents and tourists, the city authorities have recently announced.
In a press release issued on July 22, the president of the Nador commune, Slimane Azouagh, informed that the city’s parking lots will now be free of charge. "The parking of cars and motor vehicles on all the streets of the city remains free, pending the conclusion of a public agreement on the matter," the note specifies.
The president of the commune also urged users to report to the authorities any cases of harassment by illegal parking attendants who would still demand money for parking.
The decision of the Nador authorities aims to fight against anarchic parking and put an end to the phenomenon of parking attendants, which is growing in the city and in the kingdom. It follows that of Agadir which, in 2021, under the mandate of mayor Aziz Akhannouch, had announced the free access to all the parking lots in the city.
