The Moroccan telecommunications operator, Maroc Telecom, is embarking on a colossal investment program for the 2019-2021 period. To this end, the signing of the sixth Investment Agreement with the Government for the development of telecommunications in the Kingdom was finalized on Monday, August 26, 2019.
10 BMDH, the significant amount that Maroc Telecom intends to invest in an ambitious program over the 2019-2021 period.
According to the Moroccan telecommunications operator, this is a program that is in line with its proactive investment policy. The objectives are set out in three points: the development and strengthening of the telecommunications infrastructure, the deployment of high and very high speed mobile and fixed broadband, and finally the creation of new jobs in Morocco.
With the signing of this new Agreement, the cumulative total investment volume will rise to more than 68 BMDH nationwide, the same source indicates, recalling that Maroc Telecom has invested more than 58 BMDH for the last five agreements.
The progress made over time confirms Maroc Telecom’s status as a leading investor at the national level, especially since the Moroccan telecommunications operator is constantly developing its telecommunications networks in order to meet the continuous growth in traffic and the need to deploy new access technologies for very high speed broadband, details the same source.
