Tragic Lightning Strike Kills 54 Sheep, Devastates Moroccan Shepherd’s Livelihood

Lightning struck the herd, consisting of 54 sheep, including lambs, as they grazed in the forest. A video widely circulated on social media shows the dead animals grouped under a tree.

The shepherd, a man in his thirties, had invested all his savings in the purchase of this herd, hoping to generate income to support his family and prepare his marriage to a young woman from the region. He was preparing to sell part of the sheep on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, but his dream vanished in an instant.

In addition to the loss of the herd, the lightning also caused material damage to the farms of the farmers in the region. The incident sowed fear among the inhabitants.
