Orca Pod Attacks Fishing Boat off Moroccan Coast, Crew Unharmed

A traditional fishing boat was attacked by a group of orcas on Tuesday off the coast of Tangier. The incident, filmed by the boat’s captain, fortunately did not result in any injuries.
According to the video posted on social media, the orcas repeatedly rammed the boat, causing material damage but not endangering the lives of the fishermen. The captain immediately alerted the rescue services.
This incident is not isolated. In recent months, several orca attacks, some very serious, on fishing boats have been reported in the Strait of Gibraltar.
Experts put forward several hypotheses, such as a decrease in their usual prey, while a very recent study simply evokes the boredom of the orcas and the desire to have fun!
