Man Rescued from Suicide Attempt Atop Marrakech’s Koutoubia Mosque After Bakery Closure

A suicide attempt from the terrace of the Koutoubia mosque was narrowly avoided in Marrakech. The man, as a sign of protest, was attempting the unthinkable against a court decision ordering the closure of his bakery.
In a state of depression, the owner of a bakery in Marrakech decided to end his life. The man climbed onto the terrace of the mosque, dressed in a Saharan gandoura and carrying a national flag, to commit his act.
Fortunately, the civil protection elements, with the help of a car guard, managed to dissuade him from the idea of suicide, by promising to open a dialogue with him about his problems, reports Hespress.
The man finally left the terrace and was transferred to a hospital to receive the necessary care, the same source specifies.
