Man Arrested at Spanish Airport for Attempting to Fly Minor to Morocco Without Parental Consent

The Civil Guard of Murcia arrested at Corvera airport (Murcia) a man who allegedly tried to fly to Morocco with a minor without obtaining the consent of her parents.
The individual was apprehended after the minor’s parents alerted the airport police services that their daughter was about to attempt to board a flight to Morocco without their consent, reports La Opinion de Murcia.

The agents set up a search operation that quickly allowed them to locate the minor. She was in the company of a 61-year-old man and the two were about to board a flight to Oujda, Morocco. The accused is accused of having incited the minor to leave her home. As for the minor, she was entrusted to her parents, after verification of her identity documents.
The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to determine the type of relationship the minor had with the individual who has no proven link with the family or relatives of the latter. According to the criminal code in force in Spain, he risks a prison sentence of six months to two years.
