Man Arrested for Killing Father Over Land Dispute in Morocco

The man, who had fled the city for a week after committing the unthinkable, was located and arrested by the gendarmerie elements, then placed in custody, reports Assabah. The agents have in their possession a damning proof: a telephone conversation in which he threatened several members of his family.

The accused will be brought before the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal in Agadir as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of his father whose body he buried in the Taliouine cemetery. The remains had bruises on the head and his hands were tied, according to sources close to the investigation.

The autopsy report confirms that the victim was killed by a blow to the head. The accused faces a life sentence.
