Moroccan Teen and Sisters Arrested for Killing 3-Year-Old Brother in Staged Kidnapping

In Ain Aouda, three sisters, all minors, were arrested, placed in custody and then brought before the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Rabat for having strangled their 3-year-old brother to death.
It all started with the reporting of the mysterious disappearance of the 3-year-old boy to the local authorities. The elements of the judicial service of the gendarmerie of Ain Aouda, in coordination with the superior command of the royal gendarmerie in Rabat, began an investigation. They discover that the eldest of the family, aged 16, a teenager with a criminal record, would have pushed her two sisters to kill their younger brother before making believe that he had been kidnapped by charlatans, treasure hunters, who engage in unhealthy practices.
After several hearings, they finally admitted to the investigators that they had "involuntarily" killed their little brother, before throwing his lifeless body into an abandoned well, located near their home, in a neighborhood of Ain Aouda, not far from Rabat, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. According to them, they were playing with him when the tragedy happened.
The three sisters were arrested, then placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation led under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. On Monday, the elements of the judicial service of the Gendarmerie of Ain Aouda brought them before the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Rabat.
