Saturday 20 April 2019, by
"Lend Me Your Dream" is the name given to a major exhibition initiated by the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary African Culture (FDCCA). For this exhibition that will travel through 6 African capitals, it is the city of Casablanca that has been selected to host the inauguration scheduled for June 18 next.
This exhibition is the very first activity that the young Foundation for the Development of Contemporary African Culture (FDCCA), which is only three months old, is about to undertake.
Indeed, this foundation intends to have an impact on the cultural world with its actions. The proof is that it has just unveiled its first event. According to the foundation’s officials, the "Lend Me Your Dream" exhibition will travel through 6 major African cities with works by 29 contemporary artists from both Africa and the diaspora.
Casablanca will be the first to host this exhibition, which proposes to pay tribute to a local artist in each city visited, in recognition of their work.
The Foundation for the Development of Contemporary African Culture, which was founded in January 2019, is chaired by Prince Moulay Ismaïl. It intends to focus on the emergence of a new generation of talented young artists. To this end, a parallel exhibition "Carte Blanche" will highlight the works of local artists.
