Madrid Stabbing: Man Dies After Late-Night Fight in Leganés Suburb

A man of Maghrebi origin lost his life last week during a fight in Leganes, in the Madrid region. The victim had received 5 stab wounds in the back.
The emergency services had been called very early in the morning following the discovery of a man lying on the ground. Despite their rapid arrival on the scene and more than forty minutes of cardiac massage, nothing could be done to save him.
According to sources cited by EFE, the aggressor, whose nationality is unknown, was also injured in the chest. He was taken care of by the doctors before being admitted to the hospital. His life is not in danger.
The reasons for this fight are not yet known, but according to the witnesses cited by EFE, it could be a dispute over a local, which had already been the subject of a similar fight a few months ago.
Meanwhile, the Madrid authorities had organized a meeting with the police at the same time to strengthen security in this neighborhood of La Cover bars where many nationalities coexist.
