Madonna Donates to Morocco Earthquake Relief, Urges Fans to Support
The famous American singer, Madonna, has declared her love for Morocco and expressed her solidarity with the victims of the September 8 earthquake. Without failing to call for support for the immediate relief efforts on the ground.
"Morocco holds a special place in my heart, and the country has just suffered the most devastating earthquake in over 60 years. Today, I am making a donation to Human Appeal to support immediate relief efforts on the ground in Morocco," writes the American star on X. She also launched an appeal for solidarity to help the victims and contribute to the reconstruction through donations on the Human Appeal website, a organization known for its commitment to humanitarian aid around the world. According to the latest official report published by the Moroccan Minister of the Interior, the September 8 earthquake resulted in 2,946 deaths and 5,674 injuries. In total, 27 historic sites were devastated, mainly in Marrakech, Taroudant and Ouarzazate. Among them, the Tinmel mosque, a symbol of the Almohad dynasty, which was the subject of a major restoration program, and the 17th century collective granary.
