Rapper Maes Donates Concert Proceeds to Morocco Earthquake Relief

Rapper Maes kept his promise to come to the aid of the victims of the powerful and devastating earthquake that struck Morocco on September 8.
"My fee will be donated to a relief association for the earthquake that occurred in Morocco. May God come to their aid," Maes had promised before his showcase on September 17 at the Sila festival held in the Emile-Zola park in the city of Denain. The rapper kept his promise. "As promised, the Denain show was fully donated to the Islamic Relief France to help the victims of the earthquake in Morocco," he assured in a story, before calling on other people to make donations.
An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 struck the Al Haouz region on the night of Friday, September 8 to Saturday. More than 360,000 people were affected by this shock. Nearly 3,000 people died in this earthquake, the strongest Morocco has experienced since 1960, while more than 5,000 others were injured. Since then, the tragedy has sparked a wave of solidarity. Moroccans and foreigners are supporting Morocco. To date, the kingdom has only accepted aid from four countries: Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Spain and the United Kingdom.
