Macron to Visit Morocco Amid Diplomatic Tensions and Economic Challenges

French President Emmanuel Macron will make a state visit to Morocco at the beginning of next year. During his stay, the Head of State will have high-level talks with King Mohammed VI.
This visit comes against the backdrop of a political crisis between Rabat and Paris, recently confirmed by the comments of the French Minister of the Economy on the Renault and Peugeot factories in certain countries, including Morocco.
According to Akhbarona, Emmanuel Macron is likely to discuss the thorny issue of the High Speed Line, connecting Marrakech to Agadir, where China is emerging as a serious competitor.
Other hot topics will undoubtedly spice up the bilateral exchanges, particularly urban transport where the Spanish company ALSA holds the monopoly by capturing the main national markets.
