Macabre discovery in the province of Driouch. The lifeless body of a German national was found on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his home in the commune of Dar El Kebdani. The circumstances of the death have led the Royal Gendarmerie to open an investigation.
The tragedy unfolded within the dwelling that the sexagenarian was renting with his sister. According to the information relayed by the site Al3omk, the 63-year-old victim had injuries to his wrists, his veins having been severed.
Although the motivations for this act remain unknown at this stage, the first clues at the scene suggest the hypothesis of a suicide.
As soon as the facts were reported, a significant device was deployed by the Royal Gendarmerie, mobilizing the territorial brigade of Dar El Kebdani as well as the company of Midar and the regional command of Nador. The investigators proceeded with the usual findings and interviewed the deceased’s sister on record in order to collect her testimony.
On the instructions of the competent public prosecutor’s office, the remains were transferred to the morgue of the Hassani Hospital in Nador. A forensic autopsy will have to be performed to determine the exact causes of death and to validate or not the hypothesis of suicide.
