Luxury tobacco in Morocco: cigarettes priced at nearly 9,400 DH per box

Several high-volume references are experiencing an immediate increase. According to ADII circular no. 6730/214, the Marquise Classic is now priced at 31 DH, while the Gauloises have risen to 28 DH. At the same time, certain historical versions such as the Marquise Box FF and the Heets heated tobacco refills are permanently removed from official sales throughout the Kingdom.

The market is nevertheless enriched with new brands approved by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The Manchester cigarette brand is making its debut at 30 DH, as is the Blends heated tobacco range offered at a price of 28 DH. In the luxury segment, prices reach new heights: the box of 10 Davidoff Year of the Horse 2026 cigars is now priced at 9,390 DH.

These adjustments stem from a ministerial decree aimed at regulating the domestic consumption taxes (TIC). For the State, the challenge is to "maintain the tax revenues related to indirect taxes while adjusting the market to new consumption habits." This tariff reform applies without delay and marks a significant reshuffling of the national tobacco landscape.
