Liverpool Targets World Cup Star Amrabat in January Transfer Bid
After a high-quality performance with Morocco at the 2022 World Cup, Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat is the subject of a nice battle for a transfer this winter. In this case, Liverpool would have taken the lead by making an offer for the Fiorentina player.
Sofyan Amrabat was impressive during the World Cup, contributing to Morocco’s feat, a semi-finalist in the tournament. Under contract until the summer of 2024, the Atlas Lion would be ready to leave Serie A.
According to Daily Express, Liverpool is determined to secure the services of the Moroccan defensive midfielder as early as January. Jurgen Klopp would have requested the signing of the 26-year-old player to strengthen his midfield during this winter transfer window. In this sense, the English club would be willing to spend 40 million euros to snatch the Moroccan.
Recently, the player’s agent has said that there is a strong chance that Sofyan Amrabat will land at Liverpool after the World Cup. But the Reds will have to fend off Atlético Madrid and PSG, who are also coveting the Moroccan.
