Lidl Challenges Citroën AMI with New Electric Microcar: Elaris Finn Enters European Market

The Citroën AMI, an electric car without a license manufactured in the PSA Group’s plant located in Kenitra, Morocco, has a new competitor. Its name: Elaris Finn, a car manufactured in China, which is to be marketed by Lidl.
Citroën AMI will now face competition. Elaris Finn, a new small electric car available at Lidl since mid-2022, and marketed in Germany, is its new rival, reports Auto Plus. Its marketing could extend to other European countries such as France and Italy, where the Citroën AMI is booming. In total, more than 23,000 units, of which more than 22,400 have been sold in Europe, according to Motors Actu.
What about the characteristics of Elaris Finn? With a 12.3-inch screen, this two-seater vehicle integrates Apple Car Play and Android Auto. It has a 35 kW (45 hp) electric motor. Weighing 930 kg, this car can reach a speed of 115 km/h. It is available from 20,330 euros, compared to 8,000 euros for its Moroccan rival.
