Legendary Moroccan Singer Sues Controversial Rapper El Grande Toto for Defamation and Privacy Breach

Singer Abdelwahab Doukkali has taken legal action against rapper El Grande Toto for "public insult and defamation", "slanderous denunciations", "threats", as well as an attack on "honor and dignity."
A new complaint has been filed against the rapper, the 81-year-old singer accusing the performer of "Mghayer" of "infringing on the privacy of others on social media" and "disclosing, without permission, information relating to identified or identifiable natural persons", including details related to intellectual property issues kept at the Moroccan Copyright Office (BMDA).
Renowned and widely listened to on music platforms, El grande Toto is known for his controversies, due to his committed songs or incendiary statements. This is evidenced by his recent comments on cannabis consumption.
Despite his antics that sometimes undermine public order, health, and safety, the Casablanca rapper seems untouchable. He even enjoys the support of some personalities who mention "his meteoric popularity among young people."
