Algerian Actor Sparks Uproar: Art or Betrayal in Moroccan Rap Video?

For some internet users, the participation of the Algerian actor in this music video tarnishes his image and that of Algeria in general, considering his posture as "humiliating" in front of the Moroccan singer. Others have even gone as far as demanding the withdrawal of his artist’s card, on the grounds that he would have "harmed the image of his country".

To put an end to the controversy, Mohamed Khassani broke his silence, stressing that his participation in this music video is purely artistic and has no political dimension whatsoever. In a press release, he stated that dance is an art that he has been practicing for years during his performances, reiterating his commitment to his country and claiming his identity.

The Algerian actor considered the reactions of internet users on this subject to be exaggerated, insisting that his appearance in a Moroccan music video did not undermine his national affiliation or his status as a committed actor. This artistic participation is part of a cultural and artistic cooperation between artists in the region, he explained.

However, other internet users believe that this artistic collaboration between Khassani and "Mr Draganov" could contribute to a cultural rapprochement between Morocco and Algeria, despite the tensions in the political relations between the two countries.
