Leaked ’Odyssey’ Trailer Ignites Buzz: Nolan’s Epic Reimagining of Homer’s Classic Stuns Fans

Film lovers are in heaven. According to the American press, the first trailer for "The Odyssey", Christopher Nolan’s new feature film expected next year, was unveiled on Tuesday, July 1st without authorization on the X and Tik Tok networks. However, these first images were supposed to be shown in theaters in the United States to accompany the release this Friday of "Jurassic World: Dominion" by Universal. Leaks began to appear on Tuesday afternoon, according to Variety. While some videos have already been removed from the X network due to copyright infringement, others are still accessible.

"The darkness. The laws of Zeus reduced to rubble. A kingdom without a king since the death of my master. He knew it was an impossible war to win, but somehow... somehow, he won it," is heard in voiceover in this one minute and nineteen second trailer. A dialogue between Tom Holland, who plays Telemachus, Odysseus’ son, and actor Jon Bernthal is also at the heart of this trailer.

The Odyssey is an adaptation of the epic written by the Greek poet Homer in the 8th century BC. British director Christopher Nolan has called on several actors such as Matt Damon, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Samantha Morton, Will Yun Lee and Mia Goth to play various roles. Produced by Universal Pictures, Christopher Nolan’s new feature film will be released in French theaters on July 15, 2026.
