King Mohammed VI's Social Media Manager Denies Closing Royal Facebook Pages

Soufiane El Bahri clarified that, contrary to what some people and some media have claimed, he continues to manage the King Mohammed VI’s Pages on the social network Facebook.

Last April, Soufiane El Bahri, the mysterious photographer of the king, had declared his intention to leave Instagram. Then he had made certain remarks, bordering on alarm: "My God, I have been affected by nuisance", "It is difficult to continue to live normally when threats hang over you at all times", "My friends, dear family, I intend to close my accounts on Instagram and uninstall the application from my phone as soon as this story is over. I inform you of this so that you do not think, after the disappearance of my accounts, that it is an Instagram fact".

In short, it was clear: it was the closure of his personal account on Instagram and not the Pages of King Mohammed VI, on Facebook. But some people would have used the statements concerned to deduce that he was talking about the King’s Pages.

For Alyaoum24, El Bahri classifies these people into two categories: those of individuals who would have wanted to take his place as administrator of the King’s Pages. Then, according to AlYaoum24, he identified "the opposing category that seeks to criticize everything related to the King and which, from the beginning, criticized and disturbed".

Clarifying things, he writes, still according to Alyaoum24: "The closure of my Instagram account was for a short time, for personal reasons, with no relation whatsoever to the Pages of our King, which have not been closed a single day and will never be closed".
