King Mohammed VI Set to Visit Sahara on Green March Anniversary

King Mohammed VI is expected to visit the Sahara in the coming days, where he will travel to several cities.
Sources cited by Maghreb-Intelligence claim that the king is expected on November 6, in Laâyoune, the capital of the Sahara, from where he could deliver a speech to the Nation. This date coincides with the anniversary of the Green March.
For the record, Morocco also celebrates Independence Day on November 18. About seven years ago, the king had visited the region, where he was warmly welcomed by the populations.
The Sovereign’s visit will come on the heels of the UN Security Council’s renewal of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Sahara (Minurso), recalls the same source.
