King Mohammed VI Expresses Hope for Regional Peace in Letter to Israeli President

King Mohammed VI sent a letter to Israeli President Isaac Herzog in response to his letter delivered by Yair Lapid last week. A message in which he welcomes the diplomatic advances between Morocco and Israel.
In this correspondence, relayed by the Jerusalem Post, the Moroccan sovereign expressed the hope that the intensification of relations between Israel and Morocco will bring regional peace, the president’s office said on Friday.
"I am satisfied with the measures taken to renew the ties between our countries. I believe we will maintain this momentum to advance the prospects of peace for all the peoples of the region," wrote Mohammed VI, according to Herzog’s office.
To recall, Tel Aviv and Rabat have agreed to open embassies in each other’s countries in a few months, the Israeli foreign minister announced at the end of his first visit to the kingdom last week.
