King Mohammed VI Arrives in Ifrane for Private Visit Amid Heightened Security

King Mohammed VI arrived on Saturday afternoon in the little Moroccan Switzerland, for a short tourist stay coming from his private residence in Douiyet, in Moulay Yaacoub.
For this arrival, a large security cordon composed of gendarmes and police officers was deployed along the route taken by the royal convoy. Several dozen residents came to welcome the Sovereign at the entrance of Ifrane.
Under the instructions of the governor of the city, important security measures were taken by the local authorities in order to prepare the arrival of the monarch in excellent conditions.
It should be recalled that with the imminent launch of the national vaccination campaign, Mohammed VI should give the starting signal in one of the hospital centers of the spiritual capital of the kingdom, Fez.
