Kenitra Residents Decry Stalled Royal Projects, Demand Action from City Council

Internet users denounce the poor management of the city of Kenitra by the municipal council and its president, Anass Bouanani, who are struggling to carry out or complete projects, some of which were launched by King Mohammed VI.
Social media activists are calling on the regional authorities to put pressure on the Kenitra municipal council so that it takes its responsibilities and completes the pending projects. Internet users are also demanding the improvement of the main entrances to the city, as well as the construction of a modern tunnel to facilitate traffic flow and avoid congestion in the city.
To recall, in 2015 King Mohammed VI had launched the strategic plan for the integrated and sustainable development of the region (2015-2020), the implementation of which should require an investment of 8.4 billion dirhams. This plan provided for the improvement of the road network in the province of Kenitra and support for the development of its rural communities (Arbaoua, Lalla Mimouna, Sidi Allal Tazi, Mograne, Ouled Slama, Souk Tlet du Gharb, Sidi Mohamed Lahmar, Benmansour, and Dlalha).
