Kenitra Court Sentences Cocaine Trafficking Ring Members to Up to 10 Years in Prison

The members of the cocaine trafficking network in Kenitra have been informed of their fate since last Wednesday. The court of first instance of Kenitra has handed down its verdict, with sentences ranging from 6 months to 10 years.
Several of them were prosecuted for their involvement in a large network of hard drug (cocaine) trafficking. According to the daily Al Massae, the court sentenced F.B and N.T to ten years in prison, while A.W received six years in prison. Another defendant got away with 5 years in prison.
Before their arrest, these individuals were the subject of a national arrest warrant. It was thanks to the vigilance of the judicial police elements of Mahdia that they were able to be identified and apprehended. The police seized large quantities of cocaine during the searches of the convicts’ homes.
They were placed in pre-trial detention in the local prison of Kenitra, before being tried on Wednesday.
