Italy Introduces Biometric Requirements for Visa Applicants in Morocco

Since January 11, new rules apply to the process of applying for an Italian visa in the Italian consulates in Morocco and other countries. Its neighbor, France, wants to follow suit.
On Saturday, the Italian authorities announced the implementation of new procedures for visa applications, regardless of the nature of the planned stay: studies, work, family reunification or other. Any applicant for a visa to Italy must now provide their fingerprints during a prior appointment at the country’s consulates general, Al Ahdath Al Maghribia reports.
