Israeli Renewable Energy Firms Expand into Morocco and Arab Markets

The companies Enlight Renewable Energy and NewMedEnergy signed an agreement on August 15 to implement new projects in the field of renewable energies in several Arab countries, including Morocco.
These two Israeli companies want to expand their activities in the Middle East and North Africa region. The agreement intended for Morocco, as well as the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, will allow "the development, financing, construction and operation of renewable energy projects in Morocco," with a particular focus on solar and wind power production as well as energy storage.
In recent years, Morocco has made enormous progress and major investments in clean energy and is attracting the interest of major global operators. To all this, we must add the renewed commitment of the kingdom in the fight against climate change.
Today ranked first in Africa, Morocco remains a privileged partner. The CEO of Enlight Renewable Energy even believes that "together, we can be very competitive compared to the biggest players in this field in the world" and all the more so since "the MENA countries see the importance of renewable energies".
