Israeli Investors Eye Morocco Following US Sahara Recognition

In the wake of the American recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara, Israelis, especially of Moroccan origin, are expressing their willingness to invest in Morocco.
"Many of them would like to invest in Morocco," said Moulay Hafid El Alamy, Minister of Industry and Trade, and of the Green and Digital Economy, to Hespress. In this context, "the ministry will start its contacts from Monday (December 14) with all Moroccan-Israeli investors who have a desire to invest in the kingdom," he said.
"When that was not possible, they sought refuge in other countries. But today they will come back," he added. According to the minister, Israelis will mainly invest in the fields of technology, pharmaceuticals and medicine, in addition to agricultural products and equipment, and electronics.
