Israel to Open Trade Mission in Morocco, Boosting Economic Ties

Orna Barbivai, Minister of Economy and Industry, announced on Tuesday the opening by Israel of a trade mission in Morocco in 2023.
Economic cooperation between Israel and Morocco is strengthening. The Hebrew state plans to open a trade mission in Morocco next year. The potential for economic cooperation between the two countries is "enormous", Orna Barbivai said on Tuesday during an economic conference devoted to the ties between the two countries.
Since their rapprochement at the end of 2020, Morocco and Israel have been working to strengthen their trade relations. Several actions have been taken in this direction. These include the launch of direct flights between Casablanca and Tel Aviv, the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Israeli employers’ organization, The Israel Employers and Business Organizations (IEBO), and the organization in Casablanca of the Maroc-Israël Connect to Innovate forum.
