Islamic Education Teacher Arrested for Sending Porn to Students in Morocco

A teacher of Islamic education at the Abou Lkheir High School in Berkane was arrested on Tuesday for sending pornographic content to his students.
The 40-year-old Islamic education teacher is accused of harassment and attempted sexual abuse of his students. The case came to light after the families of four students filed a complaint against the teacher with the provincial Directorate of National Education in the city of Berkane, according to the daily Al Akhbar. In their complaints, the families revealed that the accused regularly sent pornographic videos and content to their daughters’ mobile phones.

Based on these statements, an administrative investigation was opened. After collecting the testimonies of the students who confirmed having received pornographic content from the teacher, while he had recorded their phone numbers to supposedly provide them with remote academic support, the latter was immediately suspended from his duties.
At the end of the investigation conducted by the judicial police elements of Berkane on the instructions of the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Oujda, the teacher was taken into custody. His trial could start in the coming days.
