Interpol Fugitive Arrested in Morocco: French Bank Fraud Suspect Caught in Marrakech
A Frenchman who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by France was arrested on Friday by the police in Marrakech.
The individual was apprehended during an administrative procedure at his home, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to Interpol data, the suspect’s name is mentioned in a case of fraud against the bank where he worked. He would be involved in the granting of fraudulent loans for the benefit of his accomplices in this criminal activity.
The suspect was taken into custody at the disposal of the competent prosecutor’s office and his extradition is on the agenda, in accordance with national legal texts and international conventions.
