French Drug Trafficking Suspects Arrested at Casablanca Airport

Two French nationals were arrested at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca for their alleged involvement with a criminal gang active in drug trafficking between Spain and France.
The arrest of these two French nationals aged 35 and 22 took place on October 29 as they disembarked from a plane from Tunis at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The Interpol database allowed the elements of the National Security to identify and apprehend them. The French judicial authorities had in the meantime issued an international arrest warrant against these two suspects for international drug trafficking.
On the orders of the competent prosecutor’s office, they were placed in custody as part of the extradition procedure measures in accordance with national legislation and relevant international conventions.
